It is with great sadness that the family of the late Naomi Florence Anderson announces her passing on Monday, March 18th, 2013 at the Dr. Charles LeGrow Health Centre at the age of 79 years. Born on Fogo Island , Naomi was the daughter of the late Norman & Blanche Fennemore. Predeceased by brother Ross and sisters Winnifred & Madeline Freake. She leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories: her devoted husband of 59 years Wilfred; sons: Calvin (Donna), Sydney Mines, Frazer (Stella), St. John’s, and Wade (Tanya), Paradise; 7 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild. She will be sadly missed by her brother George (Geraldine) Bown, Toronto, sister Myrtle (Doug) Freake, Joe Batts Arm, and very special niece Audrey Lomond; as well as a large circle of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Port aux Basque on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Friday, March 22nd at 2:00 PM from St. James Anglican Church, Reverend Hannah Dicks officiating. Interment to follow at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dr. Charles L.
