Gerald S. Butt Mt. Moriah, NL March 19, 1934 – May 9, 2013 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Gerald Butt announce his passing on Thursday, May 9, 2013 at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Centre in his 80th year. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his brother Edward Welshman (Catherine), Mt. Moriah; sisters: Greta (John) Lynch, Ajax, Ontario, Carolyn Bennett, Curling and Linda (John) Perry, Ontario, pet dog Shaigne; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews who were like children to Gerald, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his father Albert Butt, mother Gladys (George) Welshman, nephews Fred and Georgie Welshman. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street on Friday 7-9 p.m. and Saturday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Cremation to follow at Humber Valley Crematorium. The funeral service will be held on Monday, May 13 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Mary the Virgin Anglican Church in Curling with Rev. Canon John Meade officiating. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Curling. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice. The family guest book may be signed or a memorial donation may be made through our website www.fillatre.ca.
