SAMUEL GOULDING SHEA STEPHENVILLE, NL OCTOBER 18, 1935 – June 11, 2013 Passed peacefully away on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 Samuel Goulding Shea at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville, NL at the age of 77 years. Sam will be forever loved and missed by his wife of 56 years Marg; son Glenn (Donna); daughters: Carol (Keith) Styles, Dianne (Dennis) Smith; grandchildren: Vanessa (Darrell) Cole, Lisa Styles, Denise (Ash) Stirling, Sheri (Andy) Higdon, April Shea; great-grandchildren: Morgan & Abigail Higdon, William & Andrew Stirling; brother Josh (Ruby) Shea; his Lion’s Club friends as well as other family and a large circle of friends. He was predeceased by his parents Gordon and Florence Shea and brother Glenn. Visitation will take place at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, West Street, Stephenville Crossing on Thursday from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Friday, June 14, 2013 from St. Augustine’s Anglican Church, Hillview Avenue, Stephenville at 2:00 p.m. with the Reverend Canon Dawn Barrett officiating. To honour Sam’s wishes cremation has taken place at Humber Valley Crematorium. Inurnment will take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Augustine’s Anglican Church Memorial Fund or the Stephenville Lion’s Club.
