Winnie May Jennings (nee Walbourne) Corner Brook, NL June 29, 1917 … June 14, 2013 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Winnie Jenning s announce her passing on Friday, June 14th, 2013 at Corner Brook Long Term Care Home at the age of 95 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her son Bill, York Harbour, daughter Joan Knee (Frank), Corner Brook, daughter-in-law, Diane Jennings , Arizona; grandchildren: Betty Zita (Mike), Lyndon Jennings, George Jennings, Kim Pike, Deborah Quilty, Brian Jennings, Jeff Knee and Jocelyn Jones; 13 great grandchildren, sisters Florence Stratton, Calgary, Marion Butt (John), Carbonear and Ruth Swyers , Corner Brook; sister-in-law Rita Jennings, St. John’s; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friend. Predeceased by her husbands, Cyril in 1974 and Willis in 1991, son George in 1992, sisters Daisy Pond and Georgina Walbourne, brothers Samuel, Donald, Frank and Bram. Visitation will take place at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. and on Monday from 10 am to 12 noon. The funeral service will be held on Monday, June 17th at 2:00 p.m. from Fillatre’s Funeral Chapel, St. Mark’s Avenue with Reverend Fran Ota and Major Raymond Janes officiating. The interment will follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Diabetes Association.
