Gordon William Power Mt. Moriah, NL September 5, 1939 - June 14, 2013 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Gordon William Power announce his passing on Friday, June 14, 2013 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook in his 74th year. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 46 years Anna Marie (Webb); only son Gordon (Diane); his pride and joy grandchildren: Pop’s Big Girl Olivia, Pop’s Buddy Gordon and Pop’s Baby Joelene; sisters: Mary Bullen, Madeline (Keith) Huxter, Sheila (James) Traverse, Dorothy Power and son Jason and Meta Power (Brian Doyle); brothers-in-law: Ted Parsons and William Webb; sisters-in-law: Theresa (Roland) Compagnon, Mary (Gerald) LaSaga and Marjorie Tulk; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Arthur and Florence Power, sister Hannah Parsons and brother-in-law John Bullen. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street on Saturday 7-9 p.m. and Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, June 17 at 11:00 a.m. from Sacred Heart Parish in Curling with Father Edmund Camacho officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
