CAINES Gerald Bartlett's Harbour, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late Gerald Caines announce his passing on Sunday, September 23, 2007 at the Health Sciences Centre in St. John's at the age of 81 years. Leaving to mourn his children Mabel (Gordon) Byrne of New Ferolle, Gary (Beulah) of Bartlett's Harbour, Florence (Ivan) Taylor of Ottawa, Alonzo of Winnipeg, Neila (Brian) Cochrane of St. John's, Shenna (Wayne) Muggeridge of Corner Brook, Leon (Valerie) of Bartlett's Harbour and Guy (Brenda) of Goose Bay; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one sister Neila (Mike) Mahar of Bird Cove, and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Alexander and Mary Caines. The family received friends at Sacred Heart Catholic Chirch in Bartlett's Harbour on Tuesday and Wednesday from where the funeral service was held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, September 27 with Father Roger officiating. Interment followed at the Church Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to a Charity of one's choice.
