<p align="center">James (Jim) Edward</p> <p align="center">Grant</p> <p align="center">Corner Brook, NL</p> <p align="center"> </p> <p>It is with great sadness that the family of the late Jim Grant announce is passing on Tuesday, September 24<sup>th</sup>, 2013 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 69 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories is his wife, Verna; children: Jamie (Danette), St. John’s and Matthew (Tanya), Ottawa; two grandchildren: Ryan and Jenna; special stepdaughter Desiree (William) Gover, Small Point; step grandson Philip Gover, Small Point; sister: Patricia (Ed) Clarke, St. John’s; brother Brian (Sharon) Grant, St. John’s; sisters-in-law: Bernice Stratton (Mike Parent), Ottawa, Maude Miles, Corner Brook and Rene Miles, Toronto; brother-in-law Lorne (Jessie) Miles, Corner Brook; as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his birth father, James Courage; parents Veronica and Jack Grant; and brother-in-law Gerald Miles. Granting his wishes, cremation has taken place at Humber Valley Crematorium. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home Chapel, 4 St. Marks Avenue Thursday at 1:00 p.m. from where the funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Marilyn Avery officiating. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flower’s donations may be made to the Cancer Society or to the SPCA.
