It is with great sadness that the family of the late Hannah Genge announce her passing on Friday, September 21st, 2007 at the John M. Gray Centre in St. Anthony at the age of 94 years. Leaving to mourn: her children Maisie, Pauline, Virture Mitchelmore, Sheila (Sean) Fitzpatrick, Calvin (Eliza) Genge, Chesley, Ewrin (Dorcas) Genge, Barbara Loree, Irene (Norman) Folich and Mary (Gideon) Applin; 23 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband George, grandchildren Scott Genge and Kevin Loree, and parents William and Elizabeth Chambers. The family received frineds at St. Matthew’s Anglican Church in Anchor Point on Saturday and Sunday from where the funeral service took place on Monday, September 24th at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Jean Hicks officiating. Interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery in Anchor Point. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Port au Choix.
