<p><span style="font-family: Arial;"><span>The family of the late Philip Greenacre are saddened to announce his passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on October 10, 2013 at the age of 88.&nbsp; Predeceased by his parents, Edwin and Alice Greenacre and his sister, Audrey Pool. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Helly, daughter Pamela&nbsp; (Robert Meaney), grandson Rowan, family in England&nbsp; (brother-in-law Lionel Pool, nephew Kenric,&nbsp; niece Adrianne and their families) as well as a circle of friends.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial;"><span><br />Philip graduated from the University of the West of England's School of Architecture, Bristol. He lived and worked in Montreal, where he met Helly. They married in 1960 and relocated to Corner Brook in 1966 where he started his own architectural practice. His work included the design of All Hallows Church and several office buildings in Corner Brook, Stella Maris Church in Benoit's Cove and overseeing the expansion of Western Memorial Regional Hospital. He was an active member of the NL Association of Architects, a Fellow of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada, the Royal Institute of British Architects, Museum Association of NL, Heritage Foundation of NL, Railway Society of NL and Rotary Club of NL. </span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial;"><span><br />Special thanks to the caring nurses, physicians and staff of WMRH's Pre-Admission and Palliative Care units and to all the good friends and neighbors whose support is helping us through this difficult time. </span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial;"><span><br />A reception will be held on October 13, 2013 from 7-9 pm at the Glynmill Inn to celebrate his life. Cremation has already taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Western Region Hospital Foundation, Alzheimer's Society of NL or a charity of one's choice.</span></span></p>
