<p>With great sorrow and regret, we announce the passing of Helen Maria (Vincent) Anstey, on Wednesday, October 9, 2013, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving and devoted family. Mom was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and a good friend to all who knew her. She was well known for her bread, cinnamon buns (yum-yum) and lemon sponge cake. Helen was predeceased by her soul mate her husband Cyril, her grandparents Joseph and Ellen (Alexander) Vincent, parents Francis and Mary (Walsh) Vincent, brothers Ron and Gerald Vincent, sister Mary Goodyear and niece Karen Henderson. Helen is survived by her children: Gary, Darren and Rosellena Anstey, Ken (Linda) Anstey, Gerry (Sherry) Anstey, Francis (Denise) Anstey, Shirley (Mike) Jesso and Joy (Dave) Webster; her beloved grandchildren: Philip, Patrick, Jeremy and Zachary Anstey, Michael and Sarah Jesso and Tyler Webster; her siblings: Cathy (Larry) Barry, Shirley (Albert) O&rsquo;Brien, Francis (Lorraine) Vincent, Tom (Sherry) Vincent, Art (Violet) Vincent and Bernard (Jean) Vincent; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, their families and friends. Friends may visit Fillatre&rsquo;s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark&rsquo;s Avenue on Friday 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 12 at 10:30 a.m. from Fillatre&rsquo;s Funeral Chapel, St. Mark&rsquo;s Avenue with Father Ambrose Hynes officiating. Thank-you to all the nurses, doctors and caregivers at the Western Memorial Palliative Care Unit, who took such good care of our mom. Thanks to all who visited. Mom felt privileged to have so many who cared about her. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one&rsquo;s choice.
