HYNES ELLEN “JEAN” Corner Brook, NL March 6th, 1921 - October 5th, 2007 Passed peacefully away on Friday, October 5th, 2007, Ellen “Jean” Hynes at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook surrounded by family at the age of 86 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Robert “Barney” (Joan), Clayton (Theresa), Hilda (Wilson) Galliott, John (Wanda), Carol (George) Meadus and Myrt (Derm) Traverse, grandson Brad (Wendy) Traverse, 15 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren, brothers: Dave (Nina) Curtis and Ron Payne, step-sister Nonia Hutchings, special niece Hilda (Fred) Mitchell, sisters-in-law: Reda Payne, Joan Curtis and Stella Curtis, special friend Mary MacDonald. As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband George, sister Kay, brothers Joe, Gord and Jack. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street on Saturday from the hours of 7-9 PM and Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Monday, October 8th at 2:00 PM from Curling Memorial United Church with Rev. Margie Wood officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy no flowers by request, donations may be made to the Curling Memorial United Church Memorial Fund or a charity of one's choice.
