<p><span style="font-family: Calibri;">It is with loving thoughts and sad hearts that after a long and courageous battle with cancer, Rob passed peacefully away with his family by his side on Wednesday, December 11<sup>th</sup>, 2013 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital , Palliative Care Unit at the age of 44 years. Rob will be forever loved and greatly&nbsp; missed by his loving and devoted wife of 20 years, Michelle;&nbsp; the light of his life, daughter Danielle; Father James Hickey, Corner Brook; brothers: Michael , Corner Brook and&nbsp; Todd, BC, sister: Michelle&nbsp; , Corner Brook; Mother-in-law Maureen Smith (Williams), Corner Brook, who didn&rsquo;t think of Rob as a son-in-law but rather another Son;&nbsp; Father-in-law Pete MacWhirter, Corner Brook; Brother-in-law, Peter MacWhirter, Sudbury, On;&nbsp; Aunts, Uncles, one niece Brittany and three nephews, Brandon, Tyler, Mason; as well as many relatives and good friends. He was predeceased by his Mother, Yvonne Hickey (Wheeler), May 7, 2012.&nbsp; Visitation will take place from Fillatre&rsquo;s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Thursday and Friday from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, December 14<sup>th</sup> at 10:30 A.M. from All Hallows Parish, Humber Road with Father Ambrose Hynes officiating.&nbsp; Cremation will follow at Humber Valley Crematorium. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit at Western Memorial Hospital or to Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation, St. John&rsquo;s. The family guest book may be signed or a memorial donation can be made through our website www.fillatre.ca.</span></p>
