O'Connor</p> <p>Corner Brook,NL</p> <p>May 23,1917 – January 6, 2014</p> <p> </p> <p>It is with sadness that the family of the late Denis Anthony O’Connor(Tony), born in Doneraile, Co. Cork, Ireland, announce his peaceful passing on Monday, January 6th, 2014 in his home at the age of 96 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are: his wife Valerie; children: Danny, Mary Anne, Julia (Tony), Angela Whelan (Kenneth) and Christine (Donald Dumont); grandchildren: Megan, Danielle, Erin and Michaela O’Connor, Kirsten and Andrew Whelan and Jeremy and Alexi Dumont; sister-in-law Dorothy Melson (Yorkshire, England) and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Mary and Daniel O’Connor, brother, Patrick, and brother-in-law, George Melson. Visitation will be held at Fillatre’s Funeral Home 218 Curling Street on Friday from the hours of 2-4pm and 7-9 pm. The funeral mass will be held on Saturday, January 11th at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Parish in Curling, Fr. Maurice O’Quinn officiating, with interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery.
