SHORT GEORGE PASADENA, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late George Short announce his passing on Tuesday, August 30th, 2005 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 81 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories: his wife: Ada; son: Gregory (Maxine), Dartmouth, NS; daughter: Roxanne Yarn (Reg), Paradise; five precious grandchildren: Shannon and Stephanie Short, Ryan, Kyle and Cole Yarn; two brothers: Cecil and Ernest (Frances), Cape Ray, nephew: Gordon (Bernice) Short, Port Aux Basques, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents: Solomon and Harriet; enfant son Gordon, brothers: Isaac, James, Emmanuel and Theodore; sisters: Selina, Rebecca, Elizabeth and Frances. Friends may visit St. David of Wales Anglican Church, Pasadena on Thursday evening, 7-9:00 p.m. and Friday, 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m., from where the funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 3rd, at 2:00 p.m. Canon David Pearce officiating. Interment to follow at the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to St. David of Wales Building Fund.
