SUN TAM YIK (Sonny Tam) Corner Brook, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late Sonny Tam announce his passing on Wednesday, August 31st, 2005 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 56 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories: his daughter; Athene Tam; his wife: Corine Leung, Corner Brook; father: Tom Chow, St. John's; mother: Marie Chow, Corner Brook; sisters and brothers: Mei (Chang), Scarborough, ON, Jean (Wu), Port Aux Choix,, Kathleen (Ted), Winnipeg, MB, Rick (Jackie), Corner Brook, Madonna, Ajax, ON, Ken (Lynn), St. John's, David, St. John's, Robert (Amanda), Edmonton and Barbara (Brad), Fort Smith, NWT; 18 nieces and nephews, and a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his mother: Tam Au Fang Yan, son: Allan; daughter: April and grandmother Xundi. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m., Friday, 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, September 3rd at 11:30 A.M. from All Hallow Church, Humber Road, Fr. Gordon Grace officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation.
