PARSONS MELVIN JOHN ALLEN 1947 - 2005 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Melvin Parsons announce his sudden passing on Wednesday, August 31st, 2005 at Gallants at the age of 58 years. Predeceased by his parents Catherine and Stanley and brother Remi. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his first wife Irene and two daughters: Darlene (Donny) and Linda (Paul) of Corner Brook; second wife Sue and son Brent (Diana) of Scarborough, ON; five grandchildren: Megan, Renee, Jordan, Samantha and Joshua; five sisters: Helen (Bob) Lassiter, Lillian (Doug) Mountain, Rosemarie (Mike) McLoud, Sylvia (John) Turner and Margaret (Mike) Wheeler; one brother: Herb (Edna), as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, 218 Curling street on Friday, 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m, and Saturday, 10 to 12 noon, from where the funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 3rd at 3:30 P.M. Cremation to follow at Humber Valley Crematorium. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of ones choice.
