After a brief but very courageous battle with cancer,it is with great sadness that the family of Diane Marie Lyver announce her passing at the Palliative Care Unit of Western Memorial Regional Hospital, on October 12, 2007 at the age of 54. She will be sadly missed by her loving and devoted husband of 36 years, Fredrick "Buck"; children Craig and Collin Lyver (Lori-Lynn), granddaughter Corey-Leigh Seaward; father Peter Murphy; sisters & brothers: Judy Penney (Gord), Terry Murphy (Rose), Brian Murphy, Gary Murphy (Crystal), Tony Murphy (Sue), Bruce Murphy, Lisa Wheeler (Daryl); special nephew Brian White (Diane); sisters-in-law: Maude Penney (Roy), Isabelle Wheaton (Tom), Joan Coggins, Doreen Lyver, Beatrice Parnell and Mary Parnell; as well as numerous nieces, nephews,other relatives, many special friends and co-workers at Western Memorial Hospital. She was predeceased by her son Cory Lyver, mother Anita Murphy, grandmother Elizabeth Reid, nephew Jamie Penney, mother & father-in-law Theresa & James Lyver, sisters-in law Genevieve White & Theresa Rumbolt. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, October 15th at 10:30 a.m. from Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, Benoits Cove with Father Don Leonard officiating, Interment to follow at the Church Cemetery. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home 218 Curling Street Saturday & Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or memorial donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit at Western Memorial Regional Hospital.
