SOLOMON JAMES PITTMAN July 14, 1915 - October 16, 2007 Pollard’s Point, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late Solomon Pittman announce his passing on Tuesday, October 16th, 2007 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook at the age of 92 years. Solomon is the son of the late William and Emma (nee Breton) Pittman. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his children, daughters: Selma (Allan) Twyne, Pearl (Stewart) McTaggart and Emma Gale (Terry Ewing), all of Pollard’s Point; sons: Maurice (Wyonetta), Pollard’s Point, Wilfred (Albertha), Pollard’s Point, Clyde (Yvonne), Fort McMurray, AB, Randolph (Donna), Toronto and Clifford (Kathleen Reid), Corner Brook; 24 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; sisters: Virtue , Dartmouth, NS and Lucy, Sop’s Arm; brothers: Jim, Sop’s Arm and Roland, Hampton; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife, Violet; son: Randolph; grandchildren: Tracy, Tara, Francis, Phyllis; great-grandchild: Jacob; sister: Rhode and brothers: Sam, Arthur and Stanley. Friends may visit St. Michael’s and All Angels Anglican church in Pollard’s Point on Wednesday and Thursday from where the funeral service will be held on Friday, October 19th, at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Hannah Dicks officiating. Interment to follow at the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to St. Michael’s and All Angels Church Fund.
