<p><span>It is with deep sadness that the family announce the passing of Mildred Pye in her 94<sup>th</sup> year, on February 27th at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Home. She is predeceased by her loving husband Cyril of Cape St. Charles, Labrador, on March 24,1958; her daughter, Judy; son-in-law Gordon Hunt; grandson Paul Parsons; her parents, James Edward Hussey and Mary Louise (nee Earle); brothers, Lloyd Hussey (Muriel, nee Batstone), John Edward (Ned) Hussey (Roberta, nee Porter), Stephen Hussey (Bernice, nee Temple); and sister Frone Devereux (John) of Philadelphia. Left to mourn are her sisters; Dorothy Mannion (nee Hussey) of Philadelphia, Mabel (nee Temple) and William (Margaret, nee Porter), her children Dorothy (Dougal) Pye, Wayne (Glenis) Pye, and Christina (Wayne) Power, as well as11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.</span></p>
<p><span>Mildred was postmistress at Mount Moriah for many years until her retirement in 1985. She was a former president of the ACWA, and a life-long member of St. Mary the Virgin Anglican Church in Curling.</span></p>
<p><span>The family would like to express their thanks to Dr.Carl Sparrow for many years of care, and also the caring nurses and staff at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Home.</span></p>
<p><span>Visitation will be held at Fillatre&rsquo;s Funeral Home, 218 Curling St. on Saturday and Sunday from the hours of 2-4 &amp; 7-9:00 p.m. Funeral service will take place at St. Mary the Virgin church, 456 Curling St., on Monday, March 3<sup>rd</sup> at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Rosemarie Payne officiating. Cremation to follow with theInterment of ashes to be held at Shoal Cove, Labrador at a future date.</span></p>
<p><span>In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to St. Mary&rsquo;s Anglican Church, 456 Curling St., Corner Brook, NL, A2H 3K6.</span></p>
