GREENE GEORGE AUSTIN BENOITS COVE, NL 1936-2005 It is with great sadness that the family of the late GEORGE AUSTIN GREENE announce his sudden but very peaceful passing at his home on Friday, September 2, 2005 at the age of 69. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Genevieve, seven children: Derick, Marg MacArthur (Jason), Georgina Greene (Paul), Darlene Noseworthy (Mike), Tony Connolly (Debbie), Gloria Donahue (Ned), Jim Connolly (Jocelyn), ten grandchildren: Sarah, Genna, Mark, Michelle, Stephen, Phillip, Ryan, Matthew, Frankie and Heather; brothers Ronald (Bride) and Dominic, sisters Mary Jones, Rita Connelly (Joseph), Mercedes Christopher (Steve), Frances Newman (Michael), special extended family members Stanley & Geraldine Herritt & family and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Daniel & Violet Greene, sister Dellie Greene, dear friend and sister-in-law Barb Greene, brother-in-law Kevin Jones, mother & father-in-law Elsie & Frank Bennett. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, September 5 at 10:30 a.m. from Our Lady Star of the Sea, Benoits Cove Father Bernard Buckle officiating, followed by the interment at the church cemetery. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home 218 Curling Street Saturday from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or memorial donations may be made to Our Lady Star of the Sea Church.
