It is with great sadness that the family of the late Joan Sandra Parker announce her passing on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 78 years. She will be sadly missed by her husband John, son John Parker of Ottawa , daughter Joanne Duhart (Tony) of Corner Brook, daughter Elizabeth Gilfoy (David) of Dartmouth, much loved sister Jean Hunt of Paradise, grandchildren Julian, Jacob, Tyler, Jordan, Brandon and Madison. She is predeceased by her parents Violet and Weston Hunt, brothers Kirby, Freeman, Jim, Victor, Donald, sisters Laura and Marge. As she was a ray of sunshine to everyone, she will be missed by an endless circle of friends. Everyone that knew her loved her wonderful sense of humor. One of her greatest pleasures was making people laugh, especially in her volunteer work at the Blow Me Down Cross Country Ski Club where she and her Gazebo Gang would serve up toutons and beans to skiiers every Saturday. There will be a private family service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of your choice. The family guest book may be signed or a memorial donation may be made through www.fillatre.ca.
