Jessie Skinner (nee Childs) Burgeo, NL August 15, 1931 - October 16, 2007 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Jessie Skinner announce her passing at her home in Burgeo on Tuesday, October 16th, 2007. She will be sadly missed by her children: Gloria, Sheila (Gordon), Joan (Gilbert), Calvin (Angela), Angela (Dan), of Burgeo, Glenn (Melita), Napean, ON, Dora (Garry), Brandford, ON; daughter-in-law: Wanda, Marystown, NL; sisters: Hannah, Francois, Martha, Burgeo, George, Burgeo, Cecil, Stephenville Crossing; 15 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law and a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her parents: George and Berthania Childs, husband George K., son Kitchner Junior, grandsons: Andrew and Robbie, and son-in-law Don. The family will be receiving family and friends at St. John The Evangelist Anglican Church in Burgeo beginning Wednesday evening, from where the funeral service will take place on Saturday, October 20th at 11:00 am with Reverend Hubert Vallis officiating. Interment will follow at the Community Cemetery in Burgeo. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Burgeo.
