Eva Rideout (nee Simms) Meadows, NL December 23, 1914 - October 16, 2007 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Eva Rideout announce her passing on Tuesday, October 16th, 2007 at the Palliative Care Unit at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in her 93rd year. Predeceased by her husband, Frank J. Rideout; son-in-law: Robert Sharpe; grandson: Jeffrey Goosney; four brothers and one sister. She will be sadly missed by her daughters: Jane Blanchard (Weldon), Lorraine Goosney (Wallace), Linda Sharpe, Claudine Morgan (David); nine grandchildren: Angela Burridge (Trevor), Melanie Laing (Michael), Scott Goosney (Lynne), Jason Goosney (Danica), Gregory Sharpe, Bethany, Timothy, Daniel and Benjamin Morgan; three great grandchildren; Matthew and Ryan Burridge, Lily Goosney, and one sister-in-law: Mary Simms, as well as a large number of extended family and friends. She will be resting at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Wednesday evening , 7-9:00 p.m. , and Thursday, 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m.; and from Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Meadows on Friday morning, October 19th, from 10 am to 12 noon, from where the funeral service will take place at 2:00 p.m. Reverend Malcolm Palmer officiating. Interment to follow at the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Mazol Temple, Shriners’ Hospital Patient Transportation Fund, or to the charity of ones choice.
