<p><span>It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Wayne Henry Lewis on Sunday, April 6, 2014 at his home in Corner Brook, NL. Wayne was born&nbsp;</span><span>December 21, 1948 in St. Johns NL, the son of Hilda and the late Albert Lewis. Wayne was a professional firefighter and retired in 2009 as a Captain from the Corner Brook Fire Department following 35 years of service. He always looked forward to his many moose hunting trips, a day spent snowmobiling and a good game of darts. Wayne&rsquo;s laughter and smile will forever warm the hearts of his family and friends. Wayne will be sadly missed by his mother Hilda Lewis, sister &nbsp;Diane Anstey (Brian) and nephew Brandon, step-daughters, Joan Byrne and Donna Cox (Martin) and grand-daughter Avery, and his long time friend and companion Maxine Murphy and a large circle of family and friends. He was predeceased by his father Albert Lewis. Visitation will take place from Fillatre&rsquo;s Funeral Home St. Marks Avenue on Wednesday April 9, at&nbsp;2-4 &amp; 7-9. Funeral service will be held at First United Church Park Street on Thursday April 10,&nbsp;at 2:00 pm with Reverend Clayton Parsons officiating.
