<p><span style="font-family: Calibri;"><span style="font-size: medium;">It is with great sadness that the family of the late Phyllis McCann announce her peaceful passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook on Friday May 9,2014 at the age of 55 years surrounded by her loving family. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her mother Kathleen (Kay) McCann, brothers: Cyril (Gerri), Carl (Joan), of Stephenville, sisters: Lorraine Gale of Corner Brook, Jeannie (Arch) Alexander of Irishtown, Dorothy (Derek) Locke of Meadows, Anita (Jason Rubia) of Corner Brook, nine wonderful nephews and nieces, Jason (Robin) McCann, Carla (Rob) Belliveau, Colin McCann, Heather (Stephen) Nolan, Greg Gale, Katie Gale (Aaron)</span><span style="font-size: medium;">,</span><span style="font-size: medium;"> Michael and David Alexander, and Ian Locke. Five great nephews and nieces: Anthony, Sarah, Noah, Charlotte, and Liam. Special Aunt Betty March and loyal friend Trudy Buckle. As well as a large circle of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins</span><span style="font-size: medium;">,</span><span style="font-size: medium;"> Friends, and coworkers at Memorial University where she worked for over 25 years. She was predeceased by her father Philip (1998) brother-in-law George Gale (2001), sister-in-law Laurie (2008). Visitation will take place at Fillatre&rsquo;s Funeral Home St. Marks</span><span style="font-size: medium;">&nbsp; </span><span style="font-size: medium;">Avenue on Monday, May 12th </span><span style="font-size: medium;">&nbsp;</span><span style="font-size: medium;">2-4 &amp; 7-9. Funeral service will take place at Fillatre&rsquo;s Funeral Chapel, St. Marks Avenue on Tuesday May 13</span><sup><span style="font-size: small;">th</span></sup><span style="font-size: medium;"> at 10 AM with Monsignor Edwin Gale officiating. Cremation has taken place from Humber Valley Crematorium with interment at a later date.
