GEORGE’S, NL</span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="font-family: Calibri;">SEPTEMBER 19, 1916 – MAY 26, 2014</span></strong></p> <p><span style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;"> </span></p> <p><span style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;"> </span></p> <p><span style="font-family: Calibri;">It is with great love and heavy hearts that we say good-bye to our dear mother Evelyn Skinner, who passed away peacefully on Monday, May 26, 2014 at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Center, Stephenville Crossing at the age of 97.   She leaves to mourn with loving memories her sons:  William, St. George’s, Kevin (Jean), St. George’s, Howard (Anne Marie), Stephenville, Jackie, St. George’s; daughters:  Loretta (Ed) Brien, Chilliwack, BC, Josephine (Fred) Frazer, Cambridge, ON, Kathleen Skinner (Ed), Cambridge, ON, Marion Robertson, Stephenville, Elizabeth (Arthur) Summers, Aberdeen, Scotland, Rosetta (Gregg) Cutler, St. George’s, Judy (Bernard) Skinner-Larkin, Stephenville, Karen (Adrian) Collins, Merrimack, NH, Kimberly Robertson-Geogory (granddaughter) of St. John’s who was loved like a daughter also 16 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren who she also loved and cherished dearly as well as a large circle of family and friends.  She was pre-deceased by her husband John Skinner in 1996;  parents Sarah Sheppard and John Young of St. George’s; grandson Shawn Skinner; daughter-in-law Elaine Skinner.  A very special thank you to all the nursing staff of the Bay St. George Long Term Care Center who she always enjoyed seeing and sharing lots of laughter with over the past eight and a half years.  Visitation will take place on Tuesday from 7 – 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. from St. Joseph’s Parish, St. George’s from where the Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Edmund Camacho officiating.  Interment will follow in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Court House Road, St. George’s.  As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to a charity of ones’ choice.  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing.</span></p>
