<p><span style="font-family: Calibri;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">It is with great sadness that the family of Minnie Stella (Downer) Pennell wishes to announce her passing on Friday August</span><span style="font-family: Calibri;">&nbsp; </span><span style="font-family: Calibri;">1,2014 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook. She will be greatly missed by her beloved </span><span style="font-family: Calibri;">husband, Johnny (Roy) of 62 years, her children, Glenda (Rob) Garnier, Roy (Glenda) Pennell, Barbara (Sandy) Caines, Brian Pennell, Lorna (Dave)&nbsp;Bursey; she leaves nine grandchildren : Julian (Lisa) Garnier, Vicki (Dan Nickerson) Caines, Samantha (Greg Delos Santos) Caines, Ryan and Dylan Pennell, Terri ( TJ) Higdon, Mitchell Pennell, Sarah and Jenny Bursey. Minnie also had eight great grandsons Robbie, Ben, Luke, Manny, Alex, Kaden, Braxton and Jace. She was very proud of her family and loved to spend time with them. She was predeceased by her parents, Moses and Bertha Downer, father and mother-in-law, Samuel and Ethel Pennell and all her brothers and sisters, daughter-in-law ,Pam Pennell. Minnie was a good caring friend to many people in her long life and was held in high regards and loved by all, she was lifelong </span><span style="font-family: Calibri;">&nbsp;</span><span style="font-family: Calibri;">member of the Anglican Church Women and a dedicated member of the church. The family wishes to thank the staff at Western Memorial Hospital for caring for Minnie during her stay in hospital. Family and friends may visit Fillatres Funeral Home in Deer Lake on Monday August 4</span><sup><span style="font-family: Calibri;">th</span></sup><span style="font-family: Calibri;">, from the hours of 2-4 &amp; 7-9. The funeral will take place at St. Michaels</span><span style="font-family: Calibri;">&nbsp; </span><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Anglican Church in Deer Lake on Tuesday, August 5</span><sup><span style="font-family: Calibri;">th</span></sup><span style="font-family: Calibri;"> at 2 PM with Archbishop Stewart Payne officiating. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the parish of St. Michaels and All Angels Anglican Church Deer Lake or to the Canadian Arthritis Society.
