<p><span><span style="font-family: Calibri;">The family of Shirley Hynes regret to announce her sudden passing on Sunday, August 3, 2014 at the age of 66 years at the Health Science Centre in St. John&rsquo;s after a courageous and hard fought battle with cancer. Leaving to mourn her husband of 47 years Ernie Hynes; daughter Connie Keough (Jim), Massey Drive; brother Dr. Jerome Davis (Charmayne), Corner Brook; sisters: Maureen Davis, Corner Brook, Joan Whelan (Gerry), St. John&rsquo;s and Kathy Herbert (Peter), St. Albert, Alberta; sisters-in-law: Stella Park (Max deceased) and Bev Smith (Gerry), brother-in-law Hector Hynes Jr. all of Corner Brook; aunt Kay Elliott, Paradise; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Charlotte and Charlie Davis, mother and father-in-law Ethel and Hector Sr. and sister-in-law Jean Whitten (Ken). Friends may visit Fillatre&rsquo;s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark&rsquo;s Avenue on Thursday 2-4 &amp; 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday, August 8 at 11:00 a.m. from All Saints Anglican Church, Clarence Street. Interment to follow at Townsite Cemetery, Montgomery Street. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
