<p style="text-align: center;"> </p> <p style="text-align: center;"> </p> <p style="text-align: center;">It is with great sadness that the family of the late Julia Keeping (nee Currie) announce her passing on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at the Charles LeGrow Health Centre at the age of 85. Born in Isle-aux-Morts, she was the daughter of the late James and Frances (Cossar) Currie. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her daughters; Barbara Harris (Melvin), Marilyn Hatcher, Arlene Keeping (Dennis Courtney) all of Burnt Islands, Maxine Keeping (Derm King) Freshwater, Placentia, sons, Lorne Keeping (Sherry), Hubert (Heather), Hickman (Nicole) all of Burnt Islands, James (Lorraine) Cold Lake, Alberta and Perry (Trudy) Port-aux-Basques, 20 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She was predeceased by her husband, Angus P. Keeping, daughter, Grace Baggs, son-in-law, Reginald Hatcher, brothers; Hubert Currie, Thomas William, Albert Ernest, Emmanuel and Maxwell, sisters; Cora Lovell, Ada (twins) and Lilly Jane. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 7, at 7 p.m. to Wednesday, September 10 at 10 p.m in St. George’s Anglican Church, Burnt Islands. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 11, at 11:00 a.m. Rev.Jeffrey Petten officiating. Interment to follow at Hillside Haven Cemetery, Margaree Road. Flowers graciously accepted. Donations in memory of Julia may be made to St.George’s Anglican Church in Burnt Islands.
