SARAH JANE GREEN STEPHENVILLE CROSSING, NL (FORMERLY OF BURGEO) FEBRUARY 2, 1934 - NOVEMBER 2, 2007 It is with great sadness that the family of the Late Sarah J. Green (nee: Strickland) announce her passing at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital on Friday, November 2, 2007 at the age of 73 years. She will be sadly missed by her husband of 54 years Lester; children: Freeman (Marion), Clarenville, Roy (Mildred), Iqaluit, Ray (Betty), St. Lucia, Dolores (Glen) March, Edmonton, Gary (Dianne), St. John’s; sisters: Florence, Elizabeth, Laura; brother: Freeman; 13 grandchildren 5 great-grandchildren as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents: Ernest and Dora Strickland; son Claude; daughter Elaine and sister Francis. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, West Street, Stephenville Crossing on Saturday 2-4 and 7- 9 p.m. and St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, Burgeo on Sunday beginning at 3:00 p.m. from where the funeral service will take place on Monday at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Karen Laldin officiating. Internment will follow the service in the Community Cemetery, Burgeo. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Cancer Society.
