<p><span style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;">It is with great sadness that the family of the late John Maddigan announce his passing on Friday, September 12, 2014 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 78 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 56 years Christine (nee Squires); children: Gary (Christine), Barry (Louise), Donna (Terry) Skiffington and Rod (Sandra); grandchildren: Allison (John) Cox, Heather and Holly Maddigan, Robert Skiffington, Jennifer and Peter Maddigan; one great-grandson Andrew Cox; sisters and brothers: Mary, Ann, Peter (Madeline), Ronald (Mildred) and Jean (Wally); sister-in-law Bonnie Squires and children Jonathan and Justin; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Peter and Mary Maddigan, parents-in-law Edmund and Clara Squires, sisters Patricia (Mike) and Elizabeth (Ivan), brothers Leo and Kevin, brothers-in-law Ray, John, Clarence (Shirley). Friends may visit Fillatre&rsquo;s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark&rsquo;s Avenue on Sunday from the hours of 2-4 &amp; 7-9 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 15 at 10:30 a.m. from All Hallows Parish, Humber Road, Father Ambrose Hynes officiating.&nbsp;Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Bay of Islands SPCA. The family guest book may be signed or a memorial donation may be made through our website www.fillatre.ca.</span></p>
