It is with great sadness that the family of the late Augustus John Meade announce his passing at the Western Memorial Hospital in Corner Brook on Sunday February 1, 2004, at the age of 70 years. He was predeceased by his first wife Melvina (Kendall) Meade, brothers: George, Clarence and Norman, his sister Mary Walters, brothers-in-law: Reg Buffet and Max Walters, and by his sisters-in-law Laura and Alma Meade. He will be sadly misssed by his loving wife of 48 years, Marie, daughter Harriet (Edgar) Reid, Port aux Basques, sons: Larry (Nina), Margaree, Corey (Shevaun), Lonnie, Glen, all of Fox Roost, and Ricky, St. Catherines, Ontario, 7 grandchildren, brothers: Eric and Willard (Dorothy) Meade, sister Lorna Buffet, sister-in-law Hazel Meade, as well by the Hatcher family and a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 4, 2004 from St. Augustine's Anglican Church in Fox Roost with the RevHubert Vallis officiating. Interment followed in Hillside Haven Cemetery, Margarec. Funerlal arrangements were entrusted to Fillatres Funeral Home, Port aux Basques.
