SWEETLAND LILY ELIZA Interfaith Home, Corner Brook, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late Lily Sweetland announce her passing on Friday, September 23rd, 2005 at the Corner Brook Interfaith Home at the age of 97 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories: four children: Frederick (Shirley) Sweetland , Corner Brook, Rev. Bruce Sweetland, St. John's, John Sweetland, Corner Brook and Brenda Cantwell (Leslie), Toronto, Ontario; grandchildren: Christine Fudge, Jane Bayne, Ann Moores, Barry Sweetland, Nancy Day, Robert Sweetland, Vicki Drover, Ashley and Kristen Sweetland, Jennifer, Megan and Andrea Cantwell; great-grandchildren: Erin, Amy, Zachary, Joshua and Nathan Fudge, Andrea and Adam Bayne, David, Peter and Leslie Moores, Andrew Sweetland, Sarah, Heather and Rebecca Day, Kiersten and Ericka Sweetland, Nickolas and Jacob Drover; sisters: Mrs Irene Luther, St. John's, and Mrs. Annie Moores, Corner Brook; brother: Mr. Clayton Rideout, Corner Brook; special niece: Betty Bursey; special nephew: Bruce Moores, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Reuben, 1971, sister: Pearl Legge and brother Frederick Rideout. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Saturday from 7 to 8:30 P.M.. A private funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 25th at 2:30 P.M. from the Cathedral of St. John The Evangelist. Interment to follow at Mt. Patricia cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John The Evangelist Restoration Fund.
