PAYNE ELSIE ANNETTE (nee Fowler) Corner Brook, NL (Formerly of Cow Head, NL) It is with great sadness that the family of the late Elsie Payne announce her passing on Thursday, September 29th, 2005 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 55 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories: her husband Obediah; children: Daniel, Stephanie, Phillip and Vernon Payne; her father: Mr. David Fowler; brothers: Tom (Bella), Joseph (Myra), George (Stella), Walter (Alice); sisters: Sophia (Kevin), Elizabeth (David), Bertha (George) and Janet (Bruce); mother-in-law: Mrs. Gwendolyn Payne; brothers and sisters-in-law: Ivan (Edna), David (Wanda), Vernon, Nora (Garry), Georgina, Kenneth (Gaie), Michael (Heather) and Jesse (Greta), as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and students. She was predeceased by her mother: Stella; grandfather: Thomas Hammond and father-in-law: Obediah Sr. Friends visited Fillatre's Funeral Home, St. Marks Avenue on Friday from 2- 4 and 7-10:00 p.m. Visitation will take place from St. Mary`s Anglican Church, Cow Head on Sunday beginning at 2:00 p.m. from where the Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, October 3rd, at 11:00 A.M.. Fr. Roger Poblete officiating. Interment to follow at the Church Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to Our Lady of The Coast Church, St. Paul's.
