<p align="center"><strong>BICKFORD</strong></p> <p align="center">Charles Garfield (Gary)</p> <p align="center">September 4<sup>th</sup> 1942 – November 9<sup>th</sup> 2014</p> <p align="center">Deer Lake</p> <p align="center"> </p> <p style="text-align: left;" align="center">It is with great sadness that the family of the late Gary Bickford announce his passing on Sunday, November 9<sup>th</sup>, 2014 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 72. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his best friend and wife of 40 years Louise (nee Bennett);  his sons: Michael (Bonnie), Stephen both of Deer Lake, Ian (Stephanie) of Middle Sackville, NS; his precious grandchildren: Dawson, Kenzie and step grandson David, his siblings: Lewis (Fran) Bickford, Blair (Elizabeth) Bickford, Barbara (Robert) Turnbull, Judy (Randy) Smith and Deanna Bryan; as well as a large circle of sisters and brother in laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Llewellyn and Marion Bickford; sisters Joan and Lynn Marie; brothers Dorman, Donnie and Kenneth. Gary was a devoted church member for many years and served in many capacities including the church choir and people’s warden. He considered his church kin to be his second family. Gary was also a dedicated member of the Deer Lake Minor Hockey Association as well as Hockey NL for over 20 years. He took great pride in his service to these organizations and invested countless hours into improving the game of hockey throughout the province. He was a member of the Deer Lake Lions Club, served on the Board of Trustees for the Western District School Board and was an active member of the Vera Perlin Association for Community Living. Visitation will be held at Fillatre’s Funeral Home on Monday, 7-9 PM and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 12<sup>th</sup> at 2PM from St. Michaels and All Angels Anglican Church in Deer Lake with Archdeacon John Meade officiating. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery Wight’s Road. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Anglican Church Building Fund, 18 Farm Road Deer Lake A8A 1E3 or to a Charity of one’s Choice. </p>
