DAVID PAYNE Cox’s Cove, NL October 21, 1947 - November 10, 2007 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Dave Payne announce his passing on Saturday, November 10th, 2007 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his eight sisters: Dinah Brake (Charles), Meadows, Bernice Whalen, Pasadena, Mirly Banks (Foster), Gillams, Dulcie Sheppard (Frank), Cox’s Cove, Rosalind Hillier (Clyde), Cox’s Cove, Sharon Osmond (Spencer), Devon, AB, Thelma Cook (Roy), Sarnia, ON and Veda Brake (Randy), Meadows; sisters-in-law: Edna Payne, Cox’s Cove, Olga Payne, Cox’s Cove; aunts: Hannah Clarke, Cox’s Cove and Nina Baldwin, Cox’s Cove; uncle: Bert Baldwin, O’Connell Centre; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by mother, Frances; father, John Albert; brothers: Ulric and John; sisters: Jenny, Judy, Stella, Deliliah and Naomi; brothers-in-law: Noble Wells and Charles Whalen; grandparents: Samuel and Dinah Payne and Naaman and Caroline Snooks. Friends may visit St. Nicholas Anglican Church, Cox’s Cove beginning Sunday evening at 6:00 p.m. from where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 13th at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Joan Coles officiating. Interment to follow at the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the charity of ones choice.
