<p>It is with great sadness and loss that the family of the late Bertha Plowman announce her passing at the Rufus Guinchard Health Centre Port Saunders on Wednesday December 31st. at the age of 78.</p> <p>She leaves to mourn husband Clyde; sons: Rick, Larry (Beverly); daughters: Elizabeth (Frank), Veronica; grand-daughters: Melanie (Rob), Alyson (Samuel); sisters-in-law: Hilda (Joseph), Marie (Martin), Noreen (John), Alma, Dolly; brother-in-law: Everett (Ebby) and many extended family members and friends.</p> <p>She was predeceased by parents: Frank and Elizabeth (nee Offrey) Eastman; mother and father-in-law Henry and Lucy (nee Atkins) Plowman; sister Cecilia (John) Galliott; brother Michael (Lucy) Eastman.</p> <p>In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to The Canadian Cancer Society.</p> <p>The family are accepting friends on Thursday and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Fillatres' Funeral Home in Port au Choix.  A family service will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 7:00 pm.  Funeral service will take place on Saturday January 3rd. at 11:00 am at St. Theresa's RC Church in Port au Choix, interment will follow at The Interfaith Cemetery Sandy Cove with Father Britto presiding.  The funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatres' Funeral Home Port au Choix.
