<p><span style="font-family: Calibri;"><span style="font-size: medium;">It is with great sadness that the family of the late Nora Jane (Payne) Hutchings announce her passing on Friday, February 20, 2015 at the Health Sciences Centre in St. John&rsquo;s, NL at the age of 92 years. Predeceased by husband, Lewis L. Hutchings (2000), parents Thomas Payne (1926) and Florence (Bellows) Payne-Curtis- Noble (1980), her sister, Bernice Payne Prince and brother Stewart D. Payne, stepfathers John Curtis, and Bertram Noble, step-sisters and step-brothers and special cousin, Stewart Bellows. Leaving to mourn her sister-in-law Blanche Batson, brother-in-law Clyde Hutchings and many nieces and nephews from the Payne and Hutchings families.</span><span style="font-size: medium;">&nbsp; </span><span style="font-size: medium;">Children: Barbara (John) Young, Ottawa; Linda (Ted) Dakin, Digby, N.S.; Dianne (Arthur) Squarey, Paradise, NL;</span><span style="font-size: medium;">&nbsp; </span><span style="font-size: medium;">Noreen (Jim) Powell, Upperkingsclear, NB;</span><span style="font-size: medium;">&nbsp; </span><span style="font-size: medium;">Larry Hutchings (Valerie), Victoria, BC;</span><span style="font-size: medium;">&nbsp; </span><span style="font-size: medium;">Bryan Hutchings (MaryAnne), Prince Edward Island.; Kimberley (Larry) O'Brien, St. John's, NL;&nbsp;grandchildren: Stewart Philpott(Jill); Allison Philpott Rougeau; Alexandra Young Parent (Donald); Dr. Kelly Dakin (Dr. John Hache); Dr. Kyna</span><span style="font-size: medium;">&nbsp; </span><span style="font-size: medium;">Squarey (Michael Mitchell); Susan Squarey (Mark Gardberg); Dr. Erin Squarey (David Gibbs);&nbsp;Robert Powell(Sarah); Dr. Leslie Powell (Leon Arseneault); Lauren Hutchings</span><span style="font-size: medium;">&nbsp; </span><span style="font-size: medium;">(Aaron); Grant Hutchings (Courtney); Nora Hutchings (Thomas); Anne Marie Hutchings, Benjamin Hutchings, Melanie (Adam) Cullenton; Marc O&rsquo;Brien, Katie O&rsquo;Brien and 24 great grandchildren as well as a large circle of other family and friends.</span><span style="font-size: medium;">&nbsp; </span><span style="font-size: medium;">Nora, in her early years, was very active in the Girl Guides of Canada, representing the Organization in meeting the Queen in Stephenville, NL in 1957.</span><span style="font-size: medium;">&nbsp; </span><span style="font-size: medium;">She served as President of the Stephenville Lionettes and later as Charter Member and President of the Corner Brook Lionettes.</span><span style="font-size: medium;">&nbsp; </span><span style="font-size: medium;">Nora enjoyed curling and with her husband enjoyed many curling bonspiels at the Blomindon Country Club and throughout the Province.</span><span style="font-size: medium;">&nbsp; </span><span style="font-size: medium;">Her greatest love was gardening and in that she excelled.</span><span style="font-size: medium;">&nbsp; </span><span style="font-size: medium;">Friends may visit Fillatre`s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark`s Avenue, Corner Brook on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.</span><span style="font-size: medium;">&nbsp; </span><span style="font-size: medium;">The funeral service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 23, 2015 at Humber United Church, Clarence Street, Corner Brook with Rev. Andrew Wright and Rev. Clayton Parsons officiating.</span><span style="font-size: medium;">&nbsp; </span><span style="font-size: medium;">Interment to follow at the Mount Patricia Cemetery.</span><span style="font-size: medium;">&nbsp; </span><span style="font-size: medium;">As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to Humber United Church or a charity of your choice.
