MURPHY Barbara Alice Corner Brook, NL September 10th, 1921 - November 22nd, 2007 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Barbara Alice Murphy announce her passing on Thursday, November 22nd, 2007 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook at the age of 86 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving her husband of 66 years Ron, children: Gertrude (Robert) Mercer, Corner Brook, Frank (Jean), Corner Brook, Barbara (Jack) Cooke, Halifax, NS, Sylvia Mudge, New Glasgow, NS, David (Beverly), Corner Brook, Colleen (Rod) Abbott, Courtice, Ont. and Debbie (Eddie) Fisher, Corner Brook, 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, sister Ruth Lewis, Corner Brook, brother-in-law Peter Murphy, Corner Brook. As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Henry and Gertrude Lewis, son Reginald, son-in-law Nelson Mudge and sister Bertha Hilliard. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Friday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 24th at 10:00 AM from the Cathedral of the Most Holy Redeemer, Mount Bernard Avenue with Monsignor Edwin Gale officiating. Cremation to follow at Humber Valley Crematorium. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
