GILLAM Lawrence Stephenville, NL (Formerly of McKays) It is with great sadness that the family of the late Lawrence Gillam announce his passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook on Wednesday, October 26th, 2005 at the age of 73 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his wife Pearl; children: Derek (Fran), Onoway, AB, Duane (Tia), Stoney Plain, AB, Loreen Pontes, Onoway, AB; 8 grandchildren: Sherry, Kelly, Sandra, Clifton, Jonah, Stacey, Kyle, Luke; 4 great-grandchildren: Brandon, Antonio, Paris, Kaylee; sisters: Ruby Hulan & family, Stephenville, Eileen MacDonald & family, Ontario, Madge Smith & family, St. John's, Greta Farrell & family, Wabush, Labrador; as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents: Stanley & Ellen; sister Lillian Penny and by son-in-law Frank Pontes. Visitation will begin for friends on Saturday 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at St. George Anglican Church in Robinson's, from where the funeral service will take place at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Stewart Bellows officiating. Cremation will follow at Humber Valley Crematorium. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home, West Street, Stephenville Crossing.
