Gilles Bradley
Park
Cox’s Cove, NL
November 24, 1964 – December 12, 2017
Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family, Gilles Bradley Park, of Cox’s Cove, NL, age 53 years on Tuesday, December 12th, 2017. Leaving to mourn his wife and best friend Ethel of 29 years, his pride, joy and best bud, his son Jordan, his mom and dad William and Millicent, mother in-law Emma Park, brothers Barry, Blaine (Patti-Lou), sister Renee (Paul), special cousin whom he called brother Baxter (Nancy), brother in-laws Ross (Joan), Basil, Frank (Donna), Rodney (Kelly), Roger, sister in-laws Jessie (Jerome), Delora (Raymond), aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many, many friends. Predeceased by his grandparents Pearl and Irvine Park, Bessie and Ernest Bishop, father in-law Roy Park, aunts Bessie and Bertha, uncles Sam, Heber, Herbert, and Ernest. Gilles’ love of children and learning blessed and enriched him with a 29 year teaching career. A profession he whole-heartedly enjoyed. He had a profound impact on many that he taught; evident in meetings and conversations he had with students in later years. The very essence of Gilles’ character was exemplified by his effortless ability to make long lasting connections and build relationships with everyone he touched. The relationships made, forever remained important to him and were never diminished by time or distance. Like his legacy, Gilles’ personality was larger than life. His cheerful, lively and humoristic charm, made his presence very well-known and loved in his gatherings with friends and family. Gatherings that always included his love of music, singing and playing guitar. Gilles could be counted on to share with us his amazing renditions of his country and Irish-Newfoundland favorites. Friends and family may visit St. Nicholas’ Anglican Church in Cox’s Cove on Thursday, December 14th, from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9:30 p.m. from where the funeral service will be held on Friday, December 15th at 2:00 p.m. with Rev.
