It is with great sadness that the family of the late Elizabeth A. Francis announce her passing on Wednesday, December 5th, 2007 at the Western Memorial Hospital, Corner Brook at the age of 84. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories her son Reuben (Barb), granddaughter Mary Joanne Francis-Butt (Paul), great grandchildren: Jordan & Jeremy, special friend Hilda Francis and a large number of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph B. Francis, 1982, parents Nathaniel & Martha Hackett; sisters: Mary Ann Hickey( Jim Joe), Sarah Fewer (Gord), Monica Gallant (Phil); brothers: John N. Hackett (Rita), Joseph Hackett, Michael N. Hackett (Dorothy); father-in-law Charles Francis. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, December 8th at 10: 30 a.m. from Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, Benoits Cove Father Bernard Buckle officiating followed by the interment at the church cemetery. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home 218 Curling StreetThursday 7-9 p.m. and Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A special thank you to the staff of 3MD and Dr. Sparrow for their continued care and support. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or memorial donations may be made to Our Lady Star of the Sea Church.
