Passed away on Saturday, November 19th, 2005 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook, Cecil Smith at the age of 93 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories: his wife of 20 years; Elsie Park Smith; three sons: Jacob (Wendy), Barrington, NS, Attwood (Helen), Norman's Cove, Randy (Edith), Port Aux Basques; two daughters: Shirley Pretty, Port Union, Bonavista Bay, Betty Murphy (Roy), Long Harbour, Placentia Bay; grandchildren: Joe, Sheldon, Jennifer, Tobi, Kyla, Robert, Kevin, Jonathan, Bill, Cecil, Grace, Gloria, Rita, Roslyn, John, Neil, Brian, Valerie, Chrystal, George, Adam and Marcus; 16 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren; step-daughter: Juanita Mollon (Melvin), Lark Harbour; step-sons: Fred Park (Hazel), Corner Brook and John Park (Nina), Yarmouth, NS; step-grandchildren: Lori Sheppard (Dion), Larry, Glenda, Jim, Karen, Cynthia and John Park; two brothers: Reginald (Mary), Norman's Cove, and Jacob (Doreen), Norman's Cove; special daughter-in-law: Linda Humber; special friends: Joey and Mildred Newhook, Norman's Cove and Roderick and Donna Sheppard, Lark Harbour; sister-in-law: Janet Smith, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his first wife Rachael; son: Boyde; daughter: Julie; brothers: Dena and Carl, grandchildren: Wayne, Scott, Roxanne, Kenny and Shawn, step-grandson: Kerry Mollon. Friends may visit St. James Anglican Church, Lark Harbour on Monday, 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. from where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 22nd, at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at the church cemetery. Rev. Nellie Thomas officiating. As expressions of sympathy, flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Victoria Order of Nurses or to the charity of ones choice.
