Sylvia Edith Hickey Corner Brook, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late Sylvia Hickey announce her sudden passing on Wednesday, December 19th, 2007 at the age of 74 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories: daughters; Joanne (Tony) Griffin, Corner Brook, and Laura (Glen) White, Labrador City; son: Glenn, Corner Brook; grandchildren: Jason, Jonathan, Jordan, Amanda, Angela, Mark and Jeff; one sister: Joan Hutchings (Clyde), Corner Brook; sisters-in-law: Laura Chaffey, London, ON, Elizabeth Boyd (Ray), Margaret Hepditch (Leo), Mona Fraser (Carl), Winnie Hickey, Verna Hickey, all residing in Corner Brook and Margaret Hickey, Vancouver, BC; brothers-in-law: Jim (Yvonne) Hickey, Corner Brook, Ron Hickey, Marystown and Raymond Batten, Corner Brook, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Predeceased by her husband Joseph, March 1, 2001; parents: Archibald and Eliza McLellan; brothers: Frederick, Donald and Reginald McLellan; sisters: Madeline Jones and Hazel Meiwald and nephew Archibald McLellan. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Friday, 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 22nd, at 10:30 A.M. from All Hallows Roman Catholic Church, Humber Road. Father Joseph Kelly officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Newfoundland and Labrador, or to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
