<p><span style="font-family: Calibri;">While our family is saddened to announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Sadie Davis on Friday, December 4th, 2015 at the Long Term Care in Corner Brook at the age of 93 years, we feel so blessed to have had her with us for so long. Sadie, who spent her married life in Corner Brook, was caring and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a retired teacher who believed strongly in the importance of learning and achieving to your potential. She was an avid learner herself and seized every opportunity to audit university courses or other classes. She was a lover of poetry and prose, theatre, music, travel and active living. Sadie spent time swimming, skiing, and golfing, until her physical health dictated that she slow down. In WWll, she served her country in the Air Force. She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Juanita (Derek), Sandra (Roger), Paul (Faye), Peter and Rhonda; her son in-law: Douglas; grandchildren: Stephen (Judi), Susan, Jamie (Renee), Sandy (Sandra), Sherry-Lynn, Denise (Ryan), Myrna (Ryan), Christopher, Jason (Christie); great grandchildren: Colin, Davis, Carter, Cameron, Sadie, Owen, Ellie May, Julia, Forrest, Jeremy, Kaleb, Conner; brother: Willis; sisters in-law: Ena, Fern, Selma; and her second family, the&nbsp;staff at Long Term Care (Veteran Unit). She was predeceased by her parents: Caroline and James Baker; husband Ron; brothers: Tom and Arthur; sisters: Gertie (Stan) and Pressie (Dougal); brothers in-law: Mac, Ken (Ethel), Steve; sister in-law: Dorothy (Slim); granddaughter: Paula; and her great granddaughter: Ava Grace. Visitation will take place from Fillatre&rsquo;s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark&rsquo;s Avenue, on Sunday December 6th, from the hours of 2-4 &amp; 7-9 PM.
