<p><span style="font-family: Calibri;">It is with great sadness that the family of the late Benedict Bennett announce his passing on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 91 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 60 years Rita (White); son Joseph (Dianne); daughters: Leona (Jim) and Madonna (Glenn); 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; sisters: Rita and Margaret; sisters-in-law: Alice and Genevieve; brother-in-law Joe; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his mother Mary (Gallant), father William Bennett, brothers Felix, Nick, Frank, Isaac, Bill and Pius, sisters Della and May, sisters-in-law Bernadette, Theresa and Mary, brothers-in-laws George, Joe, Jack, Phonse and Anthony. Friends may visit Fillatres&rsquo; Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street on Sunday from the hours of 2-4 &amp; 7-9 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 4, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. from Our Lady Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church in Benoit&rsquo;s Cove with Father Don Leonard officiating. Interment to follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Benoit&rsquo;s Cove. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Our Lady Star of the Sea Memorial Fund.
