It is with great sadness that the family of the late John Gullage announce his passing on Friday, December 21st, 2007 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook in his 78th year. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his beloved wife of 49 years, Ruby (nee Lundrigan), treasured children Dera (Jim) Burton of St. John’s, Elizabeth (Scott) Walters of Corner Brook, Peter (Elaine) Gullage of Corner Brook, Donald (Louise) Gullage of Paradise, precious grandchildren, Ian and Katie Walters of Corner Brook, Jordan and Holly Gullage of Corner Brook, Hunter and Nathan Gullage and Mandy McGrath of Paradise, as well as a large circle of friends, nephews, nieces and other relatives. He is survived by brother, Kie (Pearl) Gullage of Corner Brook and sister, Elaine (Ross) Coates of London, Ontario, in-laws Eva Jennings, Harold Lundrigan, Evelyn and Roy Brown, Mary and Reg Finn, Jean and Russ Wilson, Jo and Bill Kennedy, Tom Lundrigan (Peggy) and Effie and Ralph Humble. He was predeceased by his parents, Hezekiah and Jessie Gullage, brothers Fred and George (Mildred), sister Maude (Earle) Churchill, brothers-in-law, Arthur, Maxwell and William Lundrigan, Frank Jennings and sisters-in-law Doris Gullage, Edith, Enith and Shirley Lundrigan. The family will be receiving family and friends at Fillatre’s Funeral Home at St. Mark’s Avenue on Saturday, December 22nd from 7 - 9 p.m. and on Sunday, December 23rd from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Monday, December 24th at St. John the Evangelist Cathedral on Main Street, Corner Brook at 10:30 a.m. with Archbishop Stewart Payne officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Western Memorial Regional Hospital Foundation.
