<p><span><span style="font-family: Calibri;">It is with great sadness that the family of the late Elizabeth "Betty" Parsons announce her passing on Monday, January 4, 2016 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 85 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Annie Dodge, Maxine Reardon (Patrick), Garry Parsons (Sandra) and Darryl Parsons (Maureen FitzGerald); son-in-law James Tierney; grandchildren: Kimberley (Jamie), Tracey (Shane), Beth (Philip), Hilary (Jordan), Keith, Mark (Annette) and Susan (Sacha); great-grandchildren: Michael, Josh, Kearley, Patricia (Ryan), Katelyn, Maksim and Nevan; brother Leslie Loder; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Maxwell Parsons, daughter Jessie Tierney, son-in-law Maurice Dodge, parents Walter and Theresa Loder, sister Annie, brothers Joseph, Ralph, Hilliard, Walter and John. Friends may visit Fillatre&rsquo;s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark&rsquo;s Avenue on Tuesday and Wednesday from the hours of 2-4 &amp; 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. from Humber United Church, Clarence Street with Rev. Jocelyn Cook officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to Humber United Church Memorial Fund or to a Charity of One&rsquo;s Choice.
