LODGE (Nee Troke) VIOLET Deer Lake, NL July 28th, 1922 - December 22nd, 2007 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Violet Lodge announce her passing on Saturday, December 22nd, 2007 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Palliative Care Unit, Corner Brook at the age of 85 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband of 65 years Adolphus, children: Daphne Dureke (Ernest), Corner Brook, Albert (Cynthia), Deer Lake, Gerald (Ruby), Howley, Wayne (Phyllis), Deer Lake and Jackie Young (Robert Hussey), Deer Lake; grandchildren: John (Lori), James (Arlene), Wanda (James), Wendy (John), Wayne (Cortney), Dianne (Conrad), Sonya (Byron), Susan (Jason), Shelley, Andy (Pamela), Angie (Stephen), Kayla and Kevin; great-grandchildren: Michael, Lexxie, Jessica, James, Parker, Jillian, Kassidy, Kiley, Daniel, Ethan, Jorja, Logan, Erin, Cain, Matthew, Emily, Ryan and Andrew, sister Hettie (Maxwell) Granter, special niece Jean Porter and Meagan and Daniel Hussey, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her daughter Judy, sisters Kate and Minnie. Visitation was held at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 10 Clinic Drive, Deer Lake on Sunday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Monday, December 24th at 2:00 PM from the Salvation Army Citadel with Major Lindsay Oxford officiating. Interment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery, High Street. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Vera Perlin Association for Community Living, The Canadian Cancer Society or to The Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Palliative Care Unit.
