It is with great sadness that the family of the late Leander R. Wicks of Jackson’s Arm, NL announce his sudden passing at Western Memorial Hospital on December 12, 2017 at the age of 73. Left to Mourn with fond and loving memories is his spouse of 30 years Scenie Hurley; his step children, Roxanne, Edgar, Stacey, Roy and Tanya; his brother and sister-in-law Bruce and Shirley Wicks; and a large circle of nephews, nieces, other family members and friends. He was predeceased by his father and mother, Vincent and Mildred Wicks; brother Bernard Wicks. As expressions of sympathy family and friends may make donations to a charity of one’s choice. Family and friends may visit the website at www.fillatre.ca to sign the guestbook, leave messages of condolence. Cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Homes Ltd. in Deer Lake, NL.
